John 7:40-53

The question about Jesus’ lineage creates division. Discussion goes round and round, and ultimately the Jewish leaders send the officers to arrest Jesus. They return empty-handed and speak on his behalf. The Pharisees are not willing to listen to them, nor are they willing to listen to Nicodemus, who questions their less than ethical methods.

It’s difficult to understand why some could not see the obvious. It’s no different today. We pray for those who do not believe, who reject you. Give them sight. We pray for all believers. Lead us. Guide us. Protect us.
