Luke 24:13-35

The confusion and despair of Cleopas and his companion turn to Easter joy through their encounter with the Risen Lord. He grounds them in the Word and in the breaking of the bread. They recognize him and cannot help but return to Jerusalem and share the good news.

You are hope for the hopeless, Lord. To encounter you in the darkest times is to find the way to the light.
